The Machete is a Grineer melee weapon released in Update 8, and it can be seen in the hands of Grineer Scorpions. The Machete was removed from the market as of Update 10.3.0 but its blueprint was temporarily awarded to players who logged into Warframe between July 9th and July 16th 2014 as a special gift for the delay in completing Update 14.
Has a small jump attack radius, even compared to most other swords.
Low critical chance.

The Machete's glowing blade is believed to stem from a super-heated surface. This is true of many Grineer melee weapons, including the Dual Cleavers.
A stance mod was made for Machetes even though the Machete and Machete Wraith are no longer obtainable.
Certain weapons utilize the Machete stance despite sharing little semblance to a machete such as the Kama.
On July 10, 2014 to July 16, 2014 the Machete's blueprint was given to players, from the Lotus, for logging in as an apology from DE for the delay of U14.
